Lace up and Run for a Hunger!
The charity flagship running event "HUNGER RUN" organized by FOODSPORT, is returning to the stunning Tseung Kwan O Waterfront on 27th October 2024 (Sunday). This event aims to raise public awareness and funds to fight poverty and hunger, in celebration of "The World Food Day".
This year, HUNGER RUN will be doubling the fun and impact by extending the theme of "Cha Kee" (Hong Kong Traditional Style Café) into the event. Runners will not only get to enjoy a picturesque run along the TKO harbour with breathtaking views, but also indulge in a vibrant carnival atmosphere filled with Hong Kong's beloved traditional food and culture. Don't miss out on the exciting dress-up competition - showcase your creativity by dressing up in your best "Cha Kee" inspired outfit and stand a chance to win amazing prizes!
Every calorie burned during the run will be converted into food equivalent for donations to our charity partner "ImpactHK", providing nutritious food and meals to the homeless in Tai Kok Tsui. In addition, the event proceeds, after deducting operating costs and food donations, will be contributed to the "FOODSPORT FOUNDATION" to fund its "Food Assistance" and "Community Sport" programs, ensuring the sustainability and expansion of our community calorie drive initiatives in Hong Kong.

The above Start Time may be adjusted subject to the total number of participants.

The Start Time will be announced inside the Runner's Guide e-booklet before the event.

The above route plan is for reference only. The final route plan is subject to be finalized by the related Hong Kong government department(s).

Runners MUST start according to the starting time of their category, otherwise their time results (including team results) will not be calculated.

The Organizer reserves the right to amend or clarify the above race course.

Runners are required to leave the route and go to the finish point if they are unable to complete the course before the cut-off time.

10km French Toast Team (4pax) Run Game Rules

All team members are required to choose and represent one type of "Cha Kee Food" to participate in the team race. (Please click here to see the game rules for the team race)

Entry is limited and it is available on a first come, first served basis. The Organizer reserves the right to close the registration any time, whether before or after the registration deadline specified, without prior notification.
GIFTS & AWARDS
Finisher Medals
Runners who finish the run within the set time will be presented with a Finisher Medal at the finish line.
Finisher E-Certificate
Runners who finish the run within the set time will receive an e-certificate via email.
The Most Committed Organization Award
The Organization / Company with the most registered runners will receive a trophy.
Funniest Outfit Award (For Individual , Family & Team)
Participants are encouraged to match the event theme to dress to impress on event day! The funniest individual, family (2pax) and team (4pax) will receive a trophy.
ONLINE REGISTRATION

Please read the TERMS & CONDITIONS and collect the following information from you and your team members before registration.
Personal Basic Info：
English Full Name (same as on your personal identity document), Email, Contact No., Gender, Date of Birth, Emergency Contact Person and Contact Number and Weight (For calorie calculation use) etc.

Each family / team must assign one member to be the captain as the point of contact
(Team captain must be 18 years old or above) -
Each team must provide a Chinese or English team name (Foul language, indecent or offensive content will not be accepted)

Family team MUST comprise an adult over the age of 18 years old acting as the contact person
Tee & Sock Size：

Please refer to our size chart of the Running Tee to choose a suitable size during registration.

Socks are available only in adult on-size-fits-all
Remarks : T-shirt size may be different from other existing sports brands. The T-shirt size CANNOT be changed after registration. The Organizer cannot guarantee any size requests. The availability of the T-shirt size is on a first come, first served basis during registration and subject to stock availability during the race pack distribution.
Payment：
Please prepare credit card information (Accept MASTER, VISA and AlipayHK ONLY) for payment.
Once the registration is completed, participant will receive a "Registration Confirmation Email" to verify the registration immediately. The email might be marked as spam in your junk box. Please check carefully! Please email us if participant does not receive any confirmation email within 2 days.

Upon submitting his/her application, an applicant declares that he/she agrees to and accepts these Event Terms & Conditions, the Official Rules and all other rules and regulations which may be adopted by the Organizer from time to time. The Organizer will charge HK$100 administration fee for the change of participant's personal data after the submission of application.

The Organizer advise all participants to use an unique email address for registration. Duplicate email addresses may affect some participants as they will be unable to receive the Runner’s Pack Collection Notification Notice.

Please note the start time, time limit and age limit for each category. Categories and Distances cannot be changed after registration.

Participants must study the terms and regulations carefully. Participants who have completed the registration process agree to be abided by the rules and regulations of the event that has been signed up.

Once the entry is accepted, entry fee and submitted materials are non-refundable & non- transferable under any circumstances.

Repeated entries will be counted as a single entry. The extra fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another applicant or race. Also, the submitted materials will not be returned.

Late or on-site enrollment will not be accepted.

Incomplete enrollment will not be accepted.

BENEFICIARY
Non-profit ImpactHK was founded in 2017 by a long-time resident of Hong Kong, Jeff Rotmeyer. But its journey really started in 2014 with Jeff's simple aim of doing one act of kindness a month – handing out food to people experiencing homelessness. His regular visits to people living in a Kowloon park were popular with volunteers and quickly evolved into a powerful humanitarian movement.
Their mission is to work with people experiencing homelessness to help them settle in a safe home, restore their mental and physical well-being, build their self-esteem and social capital, and discover their purpose. ImpactHK has now already helped well over 600 people off the streets and into their shelter.

Our mission is to promote healthy and active living by making sport accessible to more, while addressing hunger by converting all burnt calories into food equivalent for donations to those in need in Hong Kong and beyond.
